BubbleShare for Mac OS X

Now you can easily synchronize all albums you have received, created or bookmarked with your Macintosh desktop.

Installation

Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger is required. If you’re using Safari, click the download link. When the download is complete, Safari will automatically unarchive the file, and put the 'BubbleShare' icon on your desktop. Move this file to your 'Applications' folder.

If you’re using a browser other than Safari, click the download link. When the download is complete, unarchive it and place the 'BubbleShare' application icon in your 'Applications' folder. You can safely delete the zip file.

Configuration

Go to your 'Applications' folder. Find the BubbleShare icon and double-click to launch it. If this is your first time installing the application, you will be asked about automatically checking for updates. We recommend that you answer Yes to this question.

If you have not input your BubbleShare login information yet, then a dialog will appear asking you to put the e-mail address and password you use with BubbleShare. You must have a BubbleShare account to use this program. You can sign up for a free account here.

Setting up your Screen Saver

Step 1
Choose 'System Preferences' from the Apple menu. Click on 'Desktop & Screen Saver. Click on the Screen Saver tab. From the list on the right, select 'Choose Folder...'

Step 2
Navigate to your Home folder, then your Pictures folder. Inside your Pictures folder You will find the 'BubbleShare' folder. If the BubbleShare folder is not there, it means that you have not been running the BubbleShare application. Go to your Applications folder, launch the BubbleShare application, and configure it as described above. Leave the application running for a few minutes before returning to this step. If you see the BubbleShare folder, click it, and click the 'Choose' button'. You're done! If you wish to adjust the screen saver settings, click the 'Options...' button in the screen saver preferences window.

Setting up your Desktop Background

Setting your Desktop background to be selected from your BubbleShare folder is identical to setting up your screen saver. The only difference is that you choose the 'Desktop' tab in the preferences window.

You can setup your Desktop Background to be automatically rotated from your BubbleShare pictures by picking a rotation interval from the same preferences window.
