China in Travel
Photographs taken from a visit in 1990 for nearly two and a half months. I started from Guangzhou in south eastern China, worked my way west to Kunming, close to the border with Vietnam. Then I went northwards to the Yellow river and then across the Gobi desert for nearly a month by road. After reaching Kashgar on NW China, I returned to the heartland again to Xian, then Beijing and Shanghai. It was a fascinating experience, though I was denied permission to enter Tibet at that time.
