During an overnight blackout, a vehicle entering Collingwood along Highway#26 East misses the curve, landing on another vehicle, coming to rest on the base of a pylon sign. 12 March, 2008.
Ontario Provincial Police say a 87-year-old Toronto man is dead after the single-car crash in early Saturday. Officers say that around 5:30 a.m., the man lost control of his car on Highway 26, swerved off the road and slammed into an SUV parked at a car dealership. After crews pulled the man from the 1993 Dodge sedan, he was taken to a Collingwood hospital and pronounced dead.
