The Artist:

Born 1951 Beer-Sheba, Israel.

1973-1980 Studies at the Avni Institute of Fine Arts in Tel Aviv.
Lives in Israel.

Maimon's world is the coffeehouse culture which has long captured artists such as Bonnard and Lautrec before him.

The lightness of the cafe cultures has a charm and beauty which is fertile enough for Maimon to devote his career to, with great success; He holds the title of Professor of Fine Art (at the University of Ben Gurion) and in 1991 he made his international debut, touring the United States with five solo exhibitions; he continues to come annually to the US for annual one man shows. His works have been exhibited in Las Vegas, New York and even Japan.
