Sri Lanka (in the ancient times was known by Taprobane, Serendib or Ceylon - name given by the portuguese) is a tropical island in the Indian Ocean. It was a privilege for me to visit this beautiful country back in 1998. So, here are the photos I was able to take while I was travelling around the "teardrop from India´s eye"!
