From Album Past Lives by Corrina McFarlane
Not being one to keep solid linear records, I can share with you this list I found with the pile of black & white photos:
"In 1982... I cropped my hair and sold it for three pounds sterling. It was 20 inches long and weighed 3 oz (it didn't bail out the family like Jo's hair in Little Women). Jess got her new front teeth. Ninya started middle school. We holidayed in South of France with the Laslett's. I completed college with a distinction. Mick got a router (no, not for the internet <hadn't been invented yet> - this is the sort of router that can cut wood into neat swirl shapes and we wanted one for ages!). We gave up television and meat. Douglas McFarlane was born Feb 13th 10pm after 20 hours by caesarian section and weighed 11 1/2 ibs. Bought our first futon. Ninya and Jess got Chicken Pox. I bought my first electric sewing machine... and a knitting machine and began to sell my home sewn clothes. Isa visited me twice. A (can't say it) & Del got their first house. Ada(Heather) completed Anita's favourite waistcoat (took 3 years). I developed my first photos in my own darkroom. Wyn had a baby too(Stephen). Jane and DB went off around the world on a tandem. Mick shaved his beard (and I didn't know who he was til I saw his boots!).
