Photographs from Britain taken between September and November 2004, It was the first time I visited Scotland and Wales and also much of England outside London. Scotland was beautiful, though cold much of the time. I visited the Orkney Islands up north in windy, cold weather. Small towns like Mousehole, Chester, Llandudno, Fishguard, Stonehaven etc ..were quite a delight to visit.
I climbed to the top of Ben Nevis, the highest point in Britain at 1344 metres. Coffee in Britain is quite good. I particularly favored the coffee in the coffee shop chain called 'Cafe Nero'. They have cafe's all over Britain and they make a mean cappuccino.
Indian food is aplenty in Britain. Even in the far Hebrides, it was not difficult to find restaurants serving Indian cuisine. However, almost all Indian restaurants nowadays seem to be run by people from Bangladesh rather than India. Consequently, you get what is called 'Balti' cuisine which you don't easily find in India.
